Mooseheart Honors and Awards Program

Downers Grove Moose Family Center 1535 has, for the 14th year, sponsored the Frank Brand Scholastic Award. Mooseheart held its 2008-09 Honors and Awards Program in the field house on May 20th. Attending the program was Past Governor Mike Pelling who presented top junior (right) Sean Mayland a $200 savings bond and second place junior (left) Martin Gutiecrez a $100 savings bond. The Downers Grove Moose Lodge is proud to continue a program Frank started in 1957. Frank Brand was a Past Governor, Administrator and Pilgrim from the lodge and a Past Supreme Governor for the entire fraternity. It was decided to rename the award in his honor as a fitting memorial recognizing Frank for not only starting the top junior recognition award but to recognize him for all that he has done for our fraternity through the many years of his membership.
